Profile:

  • BA[Hons] Visual Art, and MA Painting from University of Wales
  • Art Teachers’ Certificate, Goldsmiths’ College, London

Early teaching posts were in London and Dorset; I then lived in Munich for a short time before being based in the Midlands, dividing time between Warwickshire and Derbyshire.

From 2007 – 2010 instigated, co-ordinated and curated successful monthly changing exhibitions at the Studio at the Mill, Little Shrewley. These themed exhibitions showcased the work of selected artists alongside my own.

In August 2014 I moved permanently to the Peak District after taking early retirement from the teaching profession. The demanding role of head of a department that encompassed Fine Art, History of Art and Design and Technology did not prevent me from continuing to develop my own work as an artist and I firmly believe the two activities to have been mutually beneficial.

  • November 2012 elected a Member of the National Society of Graphic Fine Art
  • From March 2015 exhibiting as a member of Peak District Artisans see: www.peakdistrictartisans.co.uk
