With over 20 years experience as a teacher of art, design and the history of art I am confident that I will be able to help you advance your skills in these areas. I offer a range of options including private tuition, tailor-made classes for small groups and themed painting weekends.
Tutorials are available in the history and theory of art as well as classes which focus on practical techniques.
In 2017 a series of 4 practical workshops exploring drawing will be held at the St John Street Gallery and Cafe, Ashbourne, Derbyshire: February 9th working in monochrome; April 27th introducing colour; October 5th thinking about surface & November 2nd mixed media. This can be arranged at my studio at £60 per session.There is no commitment to a course of lessons.
Your first half day session will consist of a minimum of three hours’ discussion, demonstrations and advice; a programme of work will be devised which you can then either follow independently or through additional lessons.
Further private lessons can be arranged at times and intervals to suit.
Small Group Tuition and Themed Painting Weekends at Stanton in Peak, Derbyshire
These can be arranged by request. There is a fixed fee of £120 per three hour, tailor-made session with a maximum of 8 students or a minimum of 2. Mixed age groups are welcome, so you could come along with family and friends. Alternatively, if you are an individual wanting to join a group please contact me to express your interest and I will make every effort to accommodate you within booked sessions.
Join the monthly workshops at Stanton in Peak village hall. These are held on Wednesdays from 5.30 -7pm and cost £5 per session.
